To address the growing need for instantaneous information, CNN wanted to give viewers the ability to watch live and previously aired programs across all platforms while also increasing its revenue from transmission and carriage fees. It was vital that CNN remained at the forefront of technology to stay ahead of consumers' changing viewing patterns.

CNNGo combined multiple systems and content sources to create a seamless, interactive experience for viewers. This solution gave CNN the opportunity to engage users from new channels while, simultaneously, viewers received the ability to watch, pause and rewind live broadcasts.

For this project, it was necessary to implement creative technical solutions that would allow all web browsers to process real-time data for a fully interactive user experience. By integrating multiple web-based technologies, CNNGo enabled a next generation experience for users regardless of web browser.
